Genetic Counseling Professional Group Mission Statement

Genetic counselors are professionals with advanced training in medical genetics and counseling who provide personalized assistance to patients as they make decisions about their genetic health. In the assisted reproduction setting, genetic counselors may be employed by fertility clinics, reproductive genetic testing laboratories, or facilities that recruit and screen egg and sperm donors. The Genetic Counseling Professional Group’s (GCPG) mission is to provide genetic counseling resources to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and support the infertility patient community.

The purpose of the Genetic Counseling Professional Group (GCPG) is the establishment of an organized presence of genetic counselors and related professionals within the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Learn more about the GCPG here
