Learning Objectives:
- Define the recommended work-up for an infant born with ambiguous genitalia as well as the work-up for and individual presenting as a child or an adolescent with concern for a difference of sex differentiation (DSD).
- Optimize care of these individuals by identifying the appropriate specialists to consult with to provide a multi-disciplinary care experience for people born with DSD.
- Develop a framework for discussing the changing landscape of treatment options, including surgical intervention, for people born with DSD with both the individual and caregivers.
- Discuss current fertility preservation options for individuals with DSD.
