Letter from the Chair

Dear Members of the Association of Reproductive Managers,

I hope this message finds you well and thriving in your respective roles, contributing to the invaluable work of advancing reproductive health and management. My name is April Rutter, and I am the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hera Fertility, as well as the Chair of ARM. It is with great honor and a profound sense of responsibility that I write to you as the incoming Chair of our esteemed Association.

In stepping into this role, I am deeply committed to building on the legacy of innovation, collaboration, and excellence that has been the hallmark of our Association. I thank those who have come before for being a shining example and leaving a blueprint for others to follow. The journey ahead is one I look forward to navigating with you, as we strive to address the evolving challenges and opportunities within the field of reproductive management.

My journey in the fertility sector has been driven by a passion for creating solutions that enhance access to and the quality of reproductive healthcare. In my career, I've worked tirelessly to innovate in ways that make a tangible difference in people's lives. It is this same spirit of innovation and impact that I aim to bring to my tenure as Chair.

ARM has been a crucial part of my journey given its resources of community and support. As we look to the future, I am eager to engage with each of you to understand how we can continue to foster an environment of growth, learning, and leadership within our field. Your insights, experiences, and dedication are the very foundation upon which our Association stands. Together, I believe we can embark on initiatives that not only further our professional development but also enhance the quality of care and service we provide to communities worldwide.

In the coming term, I plan to increase engagement with our members and I am excited to share the things this year has in store, including but not limited to:
  • The ARM Benchmarking Survey - keep an eye out as the success of this project depends on the participation of our members.
  • ARM/NPG 2024 - “Calculating Risk and Rolling the Dice” - join us in Las Vegas, NV April 19-20, 2024 for the annual meeting. We are happy to be adding a track this year for APPs in addition to the usual manager and nursing tracks. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
  • ASRM Scientific Congress & Expo - Denver, CO October 19-23, 2024. ARM has submitted a proposal for a PG course, several symposia and interactive sessions, and roundtable discussions. We should be hearing back from the ASRM planning committee soon and will update our membership.
  • Quarterly Virtual Events: To continually engage with one another, we have virtual events every quarter for networking, education, professional development, and collaboration. Keep an eye out on the discussion board, emails, and of course our LinkedIn page for more details.
  • Discussion board - this central safe space serves as a place of online communication to bounce things off each other and come together for innovative ideas. Please ask questions and share information to enhance networking and deepen our connection to each other.
  • Linkedin: We want to build onto the success we found last year of increasing online engagement with our members and potential new members via Linkedin. If you have not already done so, please follow us today!

In closing, I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to serve as your Chair. The trust you've placed in me is something I hold in the highest regard. Together, I am confident we will achieve remarkable things.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any suggestions, concerns, or thoughts on how we can make ARM even stronger. Your voice is vital to our collective success.

Warmest regards,

April Rutter
